Subordinated Debt Capital

Debt Capital Markets are responsible for the management of the Bank's regulatory capital base. This includes:

  • The management of existing transactions,
  • Forecasting/stress testing for future capital requirements,
  • Recommending/executing capital transactions
  • Ensuring the Bank continues to diversify its sources of capital

The levels of capital maintained by the Group are determined in line with its capital management objectives which ensure levels of capital that are held:

  • Are compliant with applicable minimum regulatory requirements;
  • Are appropriate to the Group's underlying risk profile;
  • Meet the expectations of investors and other stakeholders
  • Are in support of the Group's dividend policy

It is the Group's policy to pre-fund its capital requirements, ensuring that a strong capital base is maintained to support the objectives of the Bank.
