NOTICE RE COMPLETION OF CAPITAL INJECTION BY THE GOVERNMENT

Further to the notice on the 29^th June 2009, Anglo Irish Bank announces that following the successful completion of the Bank’s Tender Offer on the 4^th August 2009, the Government has today provided €827,720,004of capital to Anglo Irish Bank. 

Under the terms of the investment made today, Anglo Irish Bank has received €827,720,004 and in return has issued5,173,250,025 ordinary shares of €0.16 each at nominal value.
