Notice re Completion of Capital Injection by the Government

Anglo Irish Bank announces that, following receipt of EU approval, the Government has today provided €3 billion of capital to Anglo Irish Bank. Further capital of up to €1 billion is subject to further discussions between the Bank and the Department of Finance on the terms of a debt repurchase programme with Anglo Irish Bank.

Under the terms of the investment made today, Anglo Irish Bank has received €3 billion and in return has issued 18,750,000,000 ordinary shares of €0.16 each at nominal value.
