A number of clients from Irish and International banks have received fraudulent emails claiming to originate from their bank. If you receive such an email do not enter any details, please forward on the email to fraud@angloirishbank.com and then delete the email immediately. Do not click on any links or attachments regardless of how genuine the email or website may appear. Anglo Irish Bank never asks customers to pass on confidential information by email. Please ensure that your account information is kept secret.

Please be aware of the possible existence of websites unofficially using the Anglo Irish Bank name and branding with potential fraudulent intent. Fraudulent emails may contain links to these unauthorised websites. Please also be aware of possible fraudulent requests for personal details or advance payments made by criminals by phone, fax or in person who purport to represent Anglo Irish Bank.

If you think you have received a fraudulent email, have seen a fraudulent Anglo Irish Bank website or you have received any other form of communication from an individual fraudulently claiming to represent Anglo Irish Bank, please contact us immediately at fraud@angloirishbank.com.

Be Aware - Beat Fraud

Fraud awareness is a key priority for the Financial Services industry. The Irish Banking Federation, of which Anglo Irish Bank is a member, in conjunction with An Garda Siochana, the Irish Payment Services Organisation and the Police Service of Northern Ireland have recently launched a fraud prevention campaign called "Be Aware - Beat Fraud". To support this awareness campaign, a new leaflet Be Aware, Beat Fraud (http://www.ibf.ie/fraudprevention.asp) has been distributed to all bank branches across the Island of Ireland.
